Portable Restroom & Porta Potty Rentals in Greensboro, NC

Piedmont Disposal delivers clean porta potties, ADA units, hand wash stations and climate-controlled restroom trailers to job sites and events across Greensboro. We have run portable sanitation and dumpster service in the Triad since 1999, from our own yard on Providence Lane in Winston-Salem. Every unit goes out cleaned and stocked, and we keep it serviced on a set schedule until we pick it up.

Portable Restrooms for Greensboro Job Sites and Events

Most Greensboro rentals fall into two groups. Contractors need units that stay on site for weeks or months and get serviced on schedule. Event hosts need the right number of clean units for one day or one weekend, set up before guests arrive and gone after. We rent the full range for both, and we will tell you what you actually need rather than what fills a truck.

Standard Porta Potty

The most common type of portable bathroom rental, standard porta-potties are self-contained units that include a toilet and urinal. They are a cost-effective and convenient option for outdoor events, festivals, and other events where easy access to a basic restroom facility is needed.

Two Stall Restroom Trailers

Perfect for smaller gatherings or events with limited space, our two-stall restroom trailers provide a clean, comfortable experience with separate entrances for men and women. Each unit features flushing toilets, running water, climate control, and a stylish interior—offering a big upgrade from basic portable restrooms without taking up too much room.

Four Stall Restroom Trailers

Ideal for larger crowds or longer events, our four-stall restroom trailers offer a balance of convenience and capacity. Guests will appreciate modern amenities like private stalls, sinks with running water, air conditioning and heat, and tasteful finishes. Great for weddings, festivals, and upscale occasions where a touch of class matters.

Hand Sanitizer Stations

Hand sanitizing stations are standalone units that provide hand sanitizer for guests or workers to use. They are a simple and effective way to promote good hygiene practices and prevent the spread of germs.

Single & Double Sink Hand Washing Stations

Piedmont Disposal offers a variety of portable hand washing stations. No matter the size or location of your event, Piedmont Disposal has the perfect portable hand washing station to meet your needs.

How Many Portable Restrooms Do You Need?

The right count depends on how many people will use the units, for how long, and whether food or alcohol is involved. Use the tables below as a starting point, then run your numbers through the calculator or call us. We would rather add a unit at the quote than have a line form at your event.

Construction Sites: The OSHA Minimum

Federal rules for construction set a floor, not a target. Under OSHA’s construction sanitation standard, 29 CFR 1926.51, employers must provide at least this many toilet facilities:

  • 20 or fewer employees: 1 minimum facility
  • 20 or more employees: 1 toilet seat and 1 urinal per 40 workers
  • 200 or more employees: 1 toilet seat and 1 urinal per 50 workers

The same standard requires washing facilities on most job sites, so plan a hand wash station alongside your toilets. The only exemption is for mobile crews with transportation readily available to nearby restrooms. Larger crews, long shifts and summer heat all fill units faster than the minimum assumes, so most Greensboro contractors order above it and we recommend weekly servicing at a minimum.

Events: A Planning Guide

Standard units for an event of about 4 hours:

  • 50 guests: 1 unit with no alcohol, 2 units with alcohol
  • 100 guests: 2 units with no alcohol, 3 units with alcohol
  • 150 guests: 3 units with no alcohol, 4 units with alcohol
  • 250 guests: 5 units with no alcohol, 6 units with alcohol
  • 500 guests: 10 units with no alcohol, 12 units with alcohol

Add units for events longer than four hours, and plan on about 20 percent more when alcohol is served. Add at least one hand wash station wherever food is served. For a wedding or other event where guests expect more, one four-stall restroom trailer can handle up to 231 guests over eight hours on its own tanks, or up to 321 with a water hookup.

How Many ADA Units Are Required?

Where portable toilets are grouped together at a public event, the 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design (section 213.2) set 5 percent of each cluster as accessible units. In practice that means at least one ADA unit in every bank of restrooms, and one more for every 20 standard units after that. Units used only by construction crews are not required to be accessible.

Construction Porta Potty Rentals in Greensboro

From single-lot homebuilders to multi-phase commercial jobs, we set units where your crew can reach them and our service truck can too. Every unit is pumped, cleaned and restocked on each service visit, and we can add service days when a crew grows or a pour week runs long. Need more than toilets? We add hand wash stations, holding tanks for the site office and fresh water systems for job trailers on the same account.

Placement tips for job sites:

  • Pick firm, level ground with a clear path for our service truck.
  • Keep units out of the swing radius of equipment and away from active traffic lanes.
  • Set them close enough that the crew does not walk across the whole site, especially on large lots.
  • Tell us about gates, gate codes and site hours when you order so service visits do not get turned away.

Event Restroom Rentals in Greensboro

Weddings, festivals, races, church homecomings, school field days, company picnics and backyard parties all run better when the restrooms are clean and nobody waits in a long line. We deliver before your guests arrive and pick up after they leave. For outdoor weddings and upscale events, a restroom trailer gives guests running water, lighting and climate control. For crowds, a bank of standard units with an ADA unit and hand wash stations covers it.

Setup tips for events:

  • Choose flat ground near the activity but downwind of food service.
  • Light the area if the event runs after dark.
  • Put hand wash stations right beside the restrooms, not across the venue.
  • Leave a clear path from the road or drive so the truck can deliver and service without crossing the lawn.

Permits for Greensboro Events

A porta potty on private property, such as your own lot or a private venue, does not by itself need a City of Greensboro permit. Events are different. Any event in a public right-of-way, or one with a significant impact on city resources, needs a special event permit from the City of Greensboro, filed 60 days ahead. Neighborhood block parties file 30 days ahead.

If food will be served, Guilford County Environmental Health uses a special event application that asks how many toilets and what types you will provide, and for a site map showing where the toilets and hand washing stations will go. Book your restrooms before you file, so the numbers on your application match what arrives. Units placed in a street, alley or on a sidewalk need a right-of-way permit from the city.

How Renting a Porta Potty Works

  1. Call 336-777-8805 or send the quote form. Tell us the address, dates, headcount and whether it is a job site or an event.
  2. We recommend the units and service schedule, and confirm price and delivery date.
  3. Clear a level spot with truck access. You do not need to be on site if the placement instructions are clear.
  4. We deliver, set the units and service them on schedule for the length of the rental.
  5. Call when you are done, or tell us your end date up front, and we pick everything up.

What a Porta Potty Rental Costs in Greensboro

Price depends on the unit, how many you need, how long you keep them and how often they are serviced. A single standard unit for a weekend event is priced differently from ten units on a six-month job site with weekly service. Restroom trailers cost more than standard units because of delivery, setup and the plumbing they carry.

  • Unit type: standard, ADA, hand wash station or restroom trailer
  • Number of units
  • Rental length: one day, a weekend, a month or a long-term project
  • Service frequency: weekly, twice weekly or event-day attendant
  • Extras: generator, water hookup, holding tank, fresh water system

One Call for the Whole Greensboro Job Site

Most job sites need more than restrooms. Piedmont also delivers roll-off dumpsters in Greensboro, concrete washout containers for pour days and 20 ft storage boxes for tools and materials. One vendor means one number to call, one delivery schedule and one invoice.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a porta potty rental cost in Greensboro?

It depends on the unit type, how many units you need, how long you keep them and how often they are serviced. Call 336-777-8805 with your address, dates and headcount for an exact quote.

For an event of about four hours, plan on one standard unit per 50 guests, and about 20 percent more if alcohol is served. Longer events need more. Add at least one ADA unit and a hand wash station wherever food is served. Our calculator above gives a count for your exact guest list.

OSHA 29 CFR 1926.51 requires at least one toilet facility for 20 or fewer workers, then one toilet seat and one urinal per 40 workers, and one per 50 once a site passes 200 workers. Hand washing facilities are also required on most sites. Treat these as minimums; busy sites usually need more.

We recommend weekly service for construction sites, and add service days for large crews or hot weather. Each visit includes pumping, cleaning and restocking. For events, units arrive clean and stocked, and multi-day events can be serviced between days.

Not for a unit on private property. A unit in a street, alley or on a sidewalk needs a city right-of-way permit. Events held in a public right-of-way, or that significantly affect city resources, need a City of Greensboro special event permit filed 60 days in advance, and events serving food file a Guilford County Environmental Health application that lists your toilets and hand washing stations.

For public events, the 2010 ADA Standards set 5 percent of each cluster of portable toilets as accessible, which means at least one ADA unit in every bank of restrooms. Units used only by construction workers are not required to be accessible.

A porta potty is a single self-contained unit with a toilet and urinal, with no running water. A restroom trailer has separate stalls, flushing toilets, sinks with running water, lighting, heat and air conditioning. Trailers suit weddings and upscale events; standard units suit job sites and large public crowds.

It needs power: a dedicated 20-amp circuit for the two-stall trailer or two 30-amp circuits for the four-stall. If your site has no power, we rent generators. Water is optional because the trailers carry onboard fresh water and waste tanks, but a 3/4-inch water hookup lets the four-stall trailer serve up to 321 guests over eight hours instead of 231.

Book as soon as you have a date, especially for restroom trailers on spring and fall weekends, when outdoor weddings and festivals stack up. For job sites, call when the project is scheduled and we will set the delivery date with you.

Yes. We deliver restrooms, hand wash stations, holding tanks, dumpsters, concrete washout containers and storage boxes, all on one account and one invoice. See our Greensboro dumpster rentals.
