Portable Restroom Route Driver (Non-CDL)
Full Time | Monday – Friday
Provide portable sanitation services in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining our company reputation of top-quality restrooms and customer service. Overtime, weekends are mandatory when needed. On call participation mandatory. This position is the image of our company and as a result is super important to the continued success of our company.
Overall Responsibility
- Deliver, perform service cleanings and pickup portable restrooms, hand-wash stations and hand sanitizer as necessary per our standards
- Maintain paperwork necessary for day-to-day operations including letting the office know when restrooms are not serviceable, deliverable, or unable to be picked up as scheduled
- Handle problems that arise on route in an efficient and professional manner
- Portray professionalism on behalf of our company
- Sanitizing & repairs on temporary restrooms as needed at shop based on direction of division manager and route activity
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Drive service truck to specific contract rental job sites, clean/empty portable restrooms, and complete necessary paperwork along a designated route as assigned by the dispatcher
- Maintain time and production standards set for routes
- Deliver and pickup portable restrooms, hand-washing stations, and hand sanitizer stations
- Maintain paperwork in an informative and legible manner for office staff and other driver’s regarding condition of equipment, problems with work orders or sites, etc
- Pay attention and advise management on the condition of equipment or something is broken or damaged
- Arrive on time each workday and maintain a consistent attendance record
- Help keep shop area clean and organized by helping when you see things need to be done
- Help sanitize portable restrooms at shop that have come back from rental as needed
- Keep assigned vehicle clean on the inside and outside
- All other duties as assigned and needed

Roll-Off Driver (CDL)
Full Time | Monday – Friday
Roll-Off Drivers are responsible for preparing, securing and the eventual transport of open top and compactor containers to various disposal sites which include landfills, transfer facilities and the various customer jobsite locations. Roll-Off Drivers will need to navigate driveways, alleyways, job sites and traffic filled roadways. This may also entail operating in tight environments, backing up long distances such as private driveways as well as heavy industrial and crowded city environments. Current drivers average 50 hours per week. Piedmont Disposal is closed
on the weekends.
Overall Responsibility
- Operate vehicle in accordance with Piedmont Disposal, Inc. Safety Rules, OSHA (Occupational and Safety Health Act), DOT (Department of Transportation) as well as all local, municipal, state, and federal laws
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment
- Report any unsafe situations or service-related issues to dispatch
- Report any incidents, accidents, injures, or property damage to dispatch
- Report service problems, blocked containers, or any potential safety hazards
- Report all containers damaged and in need of repair
- Must attend and participate in all training and safety programs, including all safety meetings.
- Communicate with dispatch to improve route production and communicate the best way to perform your duties
- Communicate any customer requests with dispatch
- Complete and submit work orders and driver logs as required
- Expected to deliver and return containers to a customer’s property in a position that ensures the safe and proper operation of the container. Ensure driveway entrances, mailboxes or other traffic thruways are not blocked
- Must follow the route as assigned by dispatch and understand the customer’s needs
Qualifications
- Experience: 2 year(s) of previous experience operating a CDL vehicle requiring a CDL or equivalent military driving within the last 7 years
- The applicant must be 21 years of age
- Hold a current Class A or B Commercial ‘Driver’s License with an air brake endorsement.
- Acceptable driving record required.
- Successfully complete a pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check, which will include previous employment check, criminal history, and motor vehicle record review

Warehouse Operator – General Labor
Full Time | Monday – Friday | 6am to 4pm
Piedmont Disposal specializes in pre-consumer paper and corrugated cardboard recycling. We are seeking general labor to help with warehouse operations.
Overall Responsibility
- Safely and effectively operate a forklift
- Sorting and feeding material on to conveyors
- Coordination of inbound and outbound tractor trailer loads
- Ensures all materials are accurately and efficiently weighed/counted, documented, unloaded, and stored or distributed to proper location
- Contributes to the safe and efficient handling of materials by operating forklifts or other machinery
- Daily inventory checks
Other Responsibilities
- Performs similar work as other warehouse employees
- Ensures that warehouse areas are well organized
- Report safety hazards
- Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices to assist employees to prevent injury to self or co-workers
- Attends periodic safety meetings as required; may contribute to improve safety procedures
- Other duties may be assigned
Requirements
- Working knowledge of yard, warehouse and product activities on location including materials weights and methods of loading
- Ability to plan and coordinate work processes to maintain and increase manpower and equipment efficiency
- Communication skills sufficient to speak before teams and work groups to explain work rules, product standards and productivity goals
- Ability to read and write work schedules and reports
- Knowledge of basic math, counting and estimating
